Is this acceptable in the 21st century? In Britains SEVEN - TopicsExpress

Is this acceptable in the 21st century? In Britains SEVEN MONTH involvement in the Libyan conflict in 2011 we spent just under £250M. Now that were back invading Iraq, its costing us £35,000 AN HOUR to fly RAF Tornados and £807,000 every time we drop a single bomb. Meanwhile, there are 3.5M children living in poverty in the UK - 63% of whom come from a WORKING HOUSEHOLD. 1 in 5 people live below the poverty line: thats 13M people who do not have the bare minimum to get by day to day. How is this humane? If we have money to kill people, then we have money to feed people. We elect politicians to make decisions for us: who is representing those 13M people who dont know if theyre going to be able to eat tomorrow? Surely not any of the MPs who in 2013/14 claimed £103M between them in expenses: an increase since the 2009 scandal. Surely not any of the MPs who fought for an 11% pay rise whilst NHS staff were told that the state couldnt afford to give them a 1% pay rise? Why have we let this system go on for so long?
