Isaiah 40:31 says when we trust in the Lord, we will mount up with wings like an eagles. Have you ever watched an eagle fly? For the first part of the flight they use their wings to gain altitude. After they reach a a certain point, they stretch their wings wide and just ride on the powerful air currents. They dont flap and struggle to maintain their position. They occasionally use their wings to make a course correction or gain a better position in the air flow but its a restful flight, with the air doing the work. We, who trust in the Lord, can learn to spread our wings and fly without flapping. Once we learn how to hear the Holy Spirit, we can rest in the powerful flow of God and His work through us, hearing and obeying the Holy Spirits direction in making minor course corrections or using our wings to push higher, into a closer relationship between us and the Power supporting, guiding and directing us. Today, I choose to listen and obey as the Holy Spirit teaches me to spread my wings and rest as God works in, through and around me. Dont just watch me soar, join me! #PutGod1st #BeMore P.S.
