Isaiah 61 New International Version (NIV) The Year of the Lord’s Favor 61 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a] 2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, 3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. 4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations. 5 Strangers will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work your fields and vineyards. 6 And you will be called priests of the Lord, you will be named ministers of our God. You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast. 7 Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours. 8 “For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and wrongdoing. In my faithfulness I will reward my people and make an everlasting covenant with them. 9 Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the Lord has blessed.” 10 I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. 11 For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations. Brethren, do not doubt God; rest on His unfailing love and be reassured that nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Amen. Romans 8:38-39 (NIV) And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. In the midst of a storm you will find peace and your confidence and joy will not be shaken. Those who accuse and attack you will marvel at the grace of God and peace that will surround you in times of trial. They will not know where your confidence and the strength to endure hardship come from; but they will acknowledge that you are extraordinary. Yes, for our God has given us His Holy Spirit who enables us to overcome every hindrance set against us. The Bible says that we have been fearfully and wonderfully created by our God. Amen. Psalm 139:14 New King James Version (NKJV) 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;[a] Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. Prayer Points: Bless God for this new day; thank Him for keeping you and your household alive to see this day; thank Him for being Your God and Your helper. Thank God for providing all your needs and lifting you up when you fall. Praise His Holy name and tell God that there is no other God like Him and never will there ever be any God besides Him. Acknowledge your sins before God, repent and ask God to have mercy on you, your family and nation. Ask God to renew your mind and give you a new understanding of your relationship with Him and your brothers and sisters. Pray for unsaved souls and back sliders in your family and nation and ask God to make you a faithful and bold witness of the gospel to those around you. Ask for grace to accomplish your mission on earth. Pray for those who are mourning, sick and passing through different kinds of trials that God will send help to His children in Jesus name. Amen. Pray that these people will have a personal encounter with God and their sorrow and weeping will turn into rivers of joy and praise and they will be comforted in Jesus name. Amen. Pray that God will give His children a new song of praise unto Him so that the nations will know that God dwells amongst the righteous in Jesus name. Amen.
