Islam OR Democracy This is with reference to the Javed ch’s article, چین یا پھر لائبریاin Daily Express, in which he has oversimplified the dimensions of international politics .He opined that Pakistan should leave all its disputes pending with India and listen his master’s voice (America), at least for some time, for the better economic future. It is not as he perceived the issue and compared Pakistan with China. Ideologically as well as geographically Pakistan has entirely unique status in the world .Was there any need to create this country if we were to follow the same set of ruling system ,Democracy, as is in India. Was it not better for the Muslims of Pakistan ,Bangladesh and India to be together. According to latest figures, there would have been 600 million Muslims in united India with compare to the 850 million Hindus. In a democratic system, as is in India, at least there would have been six provinces(Punjab,Sindh,Balochistan ,KPK,Bangladesh,Kashmir)where the Muslims would have been the ultimate rulers by majority vote. But after partition we the Muslims are divided, 180 million in Pakistan, 220 million Bangladesh and 230 million in India. Are the Muslims stranded in India not at the mercy of Hindus as they are powerless? At the time of partition millions were killed. For what? For the ruling system we have now? Logically not. Is it not enough to establish that Pakistan was achieved to be ruled by Islam not by democracy .What we did is entirely contrary to the promises made with Allah سبحا نہ وتعالیٰ before the creation of Pakistan .We are being ruled by Kufr not by Islam. The infidels are united against us and are not going to leave us alone even if we obey them in letter and spirit. Have we not sacrificed more than 40 thousand citizens and soldiers in war against terror. What we achieved in return, order to “Do More”. The solution lies in Islam not in slavery. The Qur’an teaches us that the Jews and Christians will not be happy until you follow their way: “Never will the Jews or the Christians be satisfied with thee unless thou follow their form of religion. Say: "The guidance of Allah that is the (only) guidance." Wert thou to follow their desires after the knowledge which hath reached thee then wouldst thou find neither protector nor helper against Allah.” Qur’an 2:120 . Why don’t we understand? Zafar Ramay
