Islamic Child Support Uganda (ICSU) is a registered Community Based Organisation registered under the Ugandan Government. It is located in Kampala the capital city of Uganda in Bukoto Area Mulimira Zone I P.O Box 27548, Kampala Reg. No. NAK/13/377 OUR VISION Promoting Socio and Economic Welfare of Orphans and other vulnerable groups. ITS LEGAL SETTING Islamic Child Support Uganda is a charitable organization nonpolitical, non-secretarial a nonprofit making community based organization. ITS PROGRAMME POLICY GUIDELINES • To create an outreach vision with deep concern and sympathy for the under privileged groups • To provide counseling and support both materially to the target groups • To entirely remain open to all orphans and other vulnerable groups AIMS AND OBJECTIVES • To initiate and provide integrated small scale income generating projects for orphans and other vulnerable groups of children. • To remove street children from the streets • To rehabilitate and re-settle street children back to their areas of origin • To provide material support in form of basic necessities like shelter, beddings, food, medical care and Education. • To network with human rights organizations and other organizations plus institutions for shared information and resources • To purchase or buy any lawfulness to acquire land or any property which may be necessary for the promotion of the objectives of the organization • To sensitize the public about the rights and values of children OUR ACTIVITIES Our main activity is prayers almost every day from Monday to Monday. Our target on that issue is to see that the children grow up knowing that without Allah nothing is possible in their live. We always make sure that even during Friday Juma they are all escorted to our community mosque. Our second activity is the sport of Boxing. Boxing is also among our leading activities at ICSU centre. Uganda as a country is one of the countries in the world that are so good in boxing sport and a big number of medals and belts have been won respectively. Boxing is the leading sport in Uganda with a number of trophies and medal compared to other sports activities. In the video of fundraising we made the day of 18/8/2013 the main topic of fundraising for the orphans, street children and other vulnerable groups of children. We showed a young boy by the names of Egola Ashiraf who is dreaming of becoming a world champion in boxing. Ashiraf is a complete orphan without a mother or father. He has a young brother by the names of Achram Mugoya and his youngest sister by the names of Hadijja Kagoya. These children are all under Islamic Child Support Uganda. Egola Ashiraf is a terrible talented boxer who started boxing at he age of 7 years. The 9 year old boy made himself popular at the stage because of his boxing skills at such a tender age. He competed 6 times and he won all as you can see him in the video. He was demonstrating his boxing tactics during the fundraising for the children in need. Our third activity is Music Dance and Drama (MDD). The fourth activity is soccer and with time we want to add more and more activities. our main target is to discover the different talents that these children have such that we can be bale to uplift them for the good of their bright future. Islamic Child Support Uganda has 50 children under there care and support. They are mixed up girls and boys of ages 1-11 years most of these children are vulnerable from very poor families which cannot even afford one meal a day. Out of the 50 children only 15 are staying at the Centre 8 of these are boys while 7 are girls. The 15 children who stay at the Centre go to school while the rest remain at the Centre with others and sometimes they move to the streets to look for survival. Islamic Child Support Uganda has no any sponsor. If any one, an individual, organization is willing to sponsor please feel free to email us on islamicchilduganda@ymail. Allah will reward you abundantly a total number of 45 children are already inline to be sponsored. The 5 are sponsored by the 3 board of directors, Allah’s willing. The kind of sponsorship needed is as follows 1. Medical care 2. Food 3. Shelter 4. Rent at the children’s Centre 5. Education Let us get together and save to fulfill these innocent children’s needs and full care.
