Isnt it crazy how attached you can become to characters in book/film/TV series? The first time I got attached to characters in a series was Dungeons and Dragons the cartoon..Presto was my favorite. Maybe thats why i always play some sort of magician, my second was Hank, the ranger. I think it had 2 or 3 seasons..but I was completely sad when they didnt have the show on anymore. The second series was much later with the Vampire Chronicles shown to me by my friend Steve. I quickly fell in love with Anne Rices amazing universe of Vampires, witches, and body jumpers.I loved the history,the romance, the fear and the love, Everything about this series drew me in. I was hooked and I devoured all 11 as they came out. I was extremely sad to read the last one. I have lost my wonderful oasis from reality. However, Mrs. Rice has given me that back, a brand new book that just came out, I am so excited to read it, and then be sad again. The Lord of the Rings series gave me such a vast world, so many levels, characters, races. A story of courage, dedication, loyalty, friendship, and love, it has it all. Its such an epic tale and again, I will be sad when there is no more. No more books, no more movies, just gone. Then came the amazing world of Harry Potter. Not only did I read every single one when they came out, but, both of my sons devoured them as well. It was an amazing thing to share this passion with my sons. There was so many lessons to be learned from this series. Issues of abuse, bullying, and the need for power were addressed in each one, and then right behind that the lessons of the power of love, friendship, loyalty, and over coming fear. What an amazing, insightful series. There are more, but those are my number ones. I miss all of those worlds and each of the characters from each and every book gave me something and I took from them a lesson, knowledge, and a new perspective. I miss them, but I know I will soon find another amazing world! I cant wait!
