Isnt it fair to say that the Thatcher government was closest Britain came to facism. It may sound like im exagerating but she did have 4,500 troops ready to use against protesters and those who couldnt afford the poll tax and refused to pay it were threatened with being taken of the electoral register. Plus she labelled the miners and their families as the enemy within. So im not saying Britain was facist before anyone mistakens me for doing so, but it certainly had elements of facism and came close.
