Isnt it hypocritical, for a vegan to adopt a cat or a dog, after their vegan revelation (post-vegan) and feed them meat? That person would be intentionally giving their money to the meat industry that marginalized, brutalizes and exploits farm animals - something all vegans are fundamentally against. Wouldnt it make more sense for a vegan to feed their carnivore/omnivore pet a modified vegan diet, or even better, adopt an herbivore pet, without giving money to an industry they are firmly against? Would it be speciesist for a vegan to be vocal that westerner should avoid eating animals yet intentionally feed it to their pet? Also: (hang in there!) how many vegans have herbivore pets?
