Israel & Hamas have apparently agreed on a 12-hour ceasefire effective 7AM Saturday (it is 1AM there now, so 6 more hours before the ceasefire takes effect). Keep Boycotting, calling your public/political officials, demonstrating, protesting, writing, etc. A ceasefire agreement means that the IDF and Hamas will temporarily stop all forms of fighting, theoretically to allow time and space for injured survivors to receive medical attention and for the leaders to engage in peace talks. But, a ceasefire does not mean a longterm cessation of airstrikes, shelling, bombing, etc.. nor do we have any reason to believe that the military occupation of Palestine will end. Keep in mind that since 2006, this is the fourth time #Gaza specifically has been viciously assaulted by the IDF. So again, do not get comfortable.
