Israeli Commander: We Will NEVER Surrender to the Terrorists Who “Curse the God of Israel” Israel is constantly having to fight for their fundamental right to exist in freedom and peace, and this current battle against the radical Islamic terrorist group Hamas is no different. Despite Nancy Pelosi’s claim that Hamas is a “humanitarian organization“, they are in fact a terror group that uses women and children as “human shields“. Normally, Israel fights for the standard secular reasons that all other Western democratic societies fight for, such as freedom and liberty for all individuals, and even voting and property rights for Arabs living in Israel. The people they fight against stand opposed to all of those things, and more, including believing that they are serving their god Allah by killing Jews. This religious aspect has now seemingly entered the Israeli side of the fight too, according to Israel Today. Colonel Ofer Winter, Commander of the Givati Infantry Brigade, recently blessed his troops and appealed to their Jewish faith, as opposed to the radical Islamic faith they are fighting against. Col. Winter encouraged his troops by telling them, “History chose us to be the spearhead in the fight against the ‘Gazan’ terrorist enemy that defies, blasphemes, and curses the God of the armies of Israel.” His letter ended with “The Lord, your God, who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies and gives you victory.” This is virtually unprecedented for the Israelis, who normally shy away from making their faith a key component of their battles, for fear of inflaming their surrounding neighbors. But this time seems different, as Israel is beset on virtually all sides by radical Islamic terrorists, who will not hesitate to kill them, using their own religious faith to justify it. Israel is not backing down from this fight against Hamas, and has in fact called up more reservists in preparation of a possible expansion of their ground offensive. We must all support Israel, who are fighting for the same values we hold dear in the West.
