Israels military is truly becoming depraved and shameless. Ugly doesnt even begin to describe whats unfolding. Now there is chatter that a ground invasion of Gaza may be in the offing. Lets be plain: this is the hand of the United States government as much as Israel. Our government enables Israel to exist and even allows for Israel to use intelligence gathered by American governmental agencies from spying on American citizens. The endless flow of money and materiel to Israel is a clear political statement. The American government fully supports all of these actions, and will not bestir itself to aid Palestinians, no matter how dire their plight. This is a purely cynical game of world financial and military domination that America has been playing since the end of the second world war. American interest in the natural and human resources of the middle east is sustained through militarism. Israel, and Americas other middle eastern allies are tools for the United States to project its power into the region. To stand athwart the interests of Russia, China, Iran, and other states equally willing if not able to play the same game. This government will support any number of brutal, horrid actions, so long as its interests are protected. It has been demonstrated that America will stand by while ethnic massacres are carried out, will supply dictators with chemical weaponry, will arm extremist insurgent groups, will resort to assassination, torture, and the deliberate targeting of civilian populations, the passage of draconian and racist laws, the mistreatment of women, and so much more. If youre a citizen of the U.S., and you wonder why the situation in Palestine is never able to be resolved, wonder no more: Look around... youre standing on it.
