It all began with a couple of pocket sized scratch pads at a hotel in downtown Minneapolis. A friend of mine was flying into Minneapolis from out of state and his flight was slightly delayed. At the time I didn’t have my laptop, composition book, or reading material with me. As a way of staying preoccupied, I tried to track down some blank sheets of paper. The front desk attendant provided me with two in house scratch pads that had the hotel’s prolific logo on each sheet. I had what I needed and started writing. After a couple of months I ended up with another literary work dedicated to the exploration of hermeneutic sociology. The two scratch pads were later incorporated into other annotated writings which went on to produce this literary work. Albeit I don’t anticipate this particular work to be best selling material, but it does serve as an independent contribution to the endless field of hermeneutics.
