It always makes me wonder when people take the time to tell you something youve chosen (whether it be in fun, your own pursuit of happiness, whatevs) is horrible, immoral, unethical, dirty, etc etc...and then take the time to post it on your social media. I certainly dont bother taking the time to do that. I have plenty of friends who have opposing political/religious/moral views, are vegan, have different career aspirations, and so on. I dont go out of my way to push my own personal agenda on anyone. I figure - if its something that makes *you* happy, then do it / be it. However, if what you do is so diametrically opposite of my values, then the easiest solution for me is to walk away. I dont fight. Its just not worth my time. Yes - it means that sometimes, this method doesnt allow for discourse and conversation. There is *always* a place for learning and understanding of one another. I think theres also a way to have said conversation without judgment, and to do so kindly. To that end, I dont just blindly walk away. I try to understand - and if an internal resolution to live and let live or your kink/views/values arent my kink/views/values, but thats ok, then I ultimately have to choose (albeit selfishly) my own happiness over that of others. Because at the very, very end...you only have yourself. Its why I say things like I hate politics in xxx, which pisses a lot of people off, because for them, *everything* is political. Well...my politics is based on my own personal pursuit of happiness. Thats all Ive got. Its all Ive decided to make my agenda because of the life Ive lived, and the experiences Ive had. If that doesnt agree with people...well.... is all I have to offer. Be kind to one another, peeps. Love and happiness before anything
