It appears as though Governor Mead doesnt even respect tribal sovereignty in his own state of Wyoming. He blatantly refuses to adhere to EPA adjudication to grant land jurisdiction to local tribes. Reading over the affidavits in support of reconsideration is interesting and definitely to the point; they all basically state tribal jurisdiction is lawless & anarchist. By the logic of that argument, what were the attempts before to fix those issues? Was there ever legislation proposed in attempt to uphold the laws of the lawless? The people of the WRIR are in the way of the bigger profitable picture & obviously so are we...I hope our tribe is not seriously considering meeting with him to discuss or even negotiate selling out even some of our rights for coal. I know its all expense paid, but come on man. IDK, Someone needs to explain it to me like a 4 year old. :/
