It appears enrollment in the ACA exceeded the 7 million initially - TopicsExpress

It appears enrollment in the ACA exceeded the 7 million initially targeted by the Congressional Budget Office before the failed launch of the website. Though many people who signed up for Obamacare already had some insurance before the website was up, those policies were expensive and offered limited coverage and had no protection from being cancelled. In addition, millions more are now covered until they are 26 on their parents insurance policies, and millions more are covered by expanded Medicaid coverage. Although you wont hear much talk about it, Obamacare is a success. Roughly 15 million more people are now covered because of Obamacare. That number will likely increase during the second enrollment period in October 2014, as more and more people become aware of the coverage that is available to them. This coverage is a good deal for all Americans. Those that already have insurance are better covered and better protected than they were before Obamacare. We cannot go backwards to where we were before the law. The law can be improved, but repeal is now off the table.
