Before the Paribartan (Change) in West Bengal , the name of this force was unheard , non-existent , in Jadavpur University campus. As soon as Trinamool Congress came to power in Bengal ,overthrowing its Alter-ego this force involuntarily crept through the campus. They seem to be very much docile to what their parents(read as their boss) instruct. In each and every word they speak of , resides a common tune Forming New India , Change Under the Leadership of Mamata Banerjee , without even bothering to entertain the opinions of the general mass . anandabazar/25pgn2.html . Lets look at some of the most notable instances of their obedience , silence , and savagely cruel traits It was 2011 , the newly formed West Bengal govt. by Trinamool Congress , decided to implement the ordinance in universities which advocated on preventing political intervention in University Academic Process. telegraphindia/1111103/jsp/calcutta/story_14699407.jsp . Earlier there were student representatives in the Executive Council (E.C.) , highest policy making body of the University. The students as such had the occasion to take part in policy making of university affairs.. Why wont they ?? After all it is the students who are the 99 percent. The ordinance however stripped them off such rights. The students were not allowed to participate in the policy making in the executive council anymore. Cause ? Not known. Consequently the students happened to be scapegoats of such power play. General Students protested vehemently against such unjust acts. AS FOR JU TMCP ??? SEE NO EVIL , SPEAK NO EVIL , HEAR NO EVIL - REASON ? SELF EXPLANATORY. :) And to this very day they are silent on the issue. FEB 2013 : Police dies in student clash centering college elections. The entire students community exploded in protests , condemning such autocratic decisions. But where was TMCP ?? Dont they need union elections. ?? Well they yet again shifted to SEE NO EVIL , SPEAK NO EVIL , HEAR NO EVIL - REASON ? SELF EXPLANATORY. :) But here also the state failed miserably. Unable to take hold of situations , the police (state machinery) were instructed to DEAL with the situation . The state witnessed the political murder of Comrade Sudipta Gupta ,Member of SFI . The students community irrespective of their organizations(if any) , flared up in anger and protests. TMCP ??? the same old SEE NO EVIL , SPEAK NO EVIL , HEAR NO EVIL - REASON ? SELF EXPLANATORY. :) Shortly after the death of Sudipta Gupta , students of Prestigious Presidency University happened to be the sufferer . Baker Lab , of Presidency University got vandalised .A tormenting black chapter in the history of academics of West Bengal. This time who happened to be the author ?? While there was a country wide condemnation of the incident , the TMCP leaders were babbling about being FRAMED :D . Shajano ghotona eh ? Govt. otherwise blind to such normal vandalism had to take steps when the victim was its beloved PRESIDENCY :) In thelast students’ union election , they even tried to ‘terrorise‘ the Chingrighataarea (Jadavpur University , Saltlake Campus) , so that the general students canbe prevented from casting the votes. However they failed miserably . Few months back , TMCP was alleged of hijackingthe General Students’ Movement regarding exam structure that was going on since2008 (even before birth of JU-TMCP) . Theytried to legitimise their ‘success’(?) by having the Registrar sign on minutesof E.C. Meeting (that violates all sort of existing decorums). The registrarwhen asked , asserted that he was completely in dark of what was happening andeven the VC admitted that the entire event was a huge mistake on the part of University authorities. In this case the Govt. stayed silent. They talk of Change !!! What Change is it ?? Do you want your campus to be like the picture given below? Do you really look forward to transfer the power from your hands to the hands of persons who indulge in numerous immoral activities. ? No WE DONT WANT THIS CHANGE.
