It appears there has been some confusion in the media about the martyrdom of Fr. Francois Murad who was murdered in Syria on June 23. We also want to correct our previous post concerning Fr. Murad. By recent accounts, it appears that Fr. Murad was not beheaded, but was shot to death in church, while defending Catholic nuns in a convent where he had taken refuge. No matter the type of death, Fr. Murad was murdered by Syrian jihadists, and we pray for his soul, and the souls and conversion of his murderers.
