It baffles me dt Same ppl who see something wrong wt a Muslim starting his speech in a national gathering wt an Arabic citation, see nothing wrong wt officially starting & ending a national gathering wt Islamic & xtian prayers. If an individual starting his speech wt assalamu alaikum or praise d lord somebody has d tendency of turning a national gathering in2 a mosque or church, starting & ending a national gathering wt Islamic & xtian prayers has a bigger tendency of turning d gathering in2 mosque & church respectively. Again, If an individual starting his speech wt assalamu alaikum is wrong only bcos nt all d ppl dere ar Muslims, starting & ending a national gathering wt Islamic & xtian prayers is superlatively wrong bcos nt all d ppl dere ar Muslims or xtians. Similarly, same ppl who see Nigeria as a SECULAR STATE wen issue about religion oda dan theirs is being discussed, see nothing wrong wt nt jst starting & ending NATIONAL GATHERING wt prayers bt also d entire 2nd stanza of d NATIONAL ANTHEM being spiritual. Unlike Pastor Tunde Bakare who is happy wt a tree & unhappy wt d shed it provides, an objective person wl either b happy wt both d tree & d shed it provides, or unhappy wt both d tree & d shed it provides.
