It boggles my mind how people who call themselves Christians can be so cruel. Nothing but wolves in sheeps clothing is what they are! When will we who call ourselves Christians realize that gossiping is NOT an option. Shut your mouth if you have nothing good to say about others. Have you not read the Word of God? Have you no self control? Do you not realize that you can be the reason a person walks away from Christ? You will be held accountable for the words you speak for you can think you are kept in secret and no one knows about your evil whispers BUT our GOD knows it all! You can not hide from Him. Its this type of behavior that stereotypes us Christian and it makes me quite sad and angry because the Word of God tells us to do otherwise. Truly where is the LOVE? STOP THE HATE AND SLANDEROUS TALK and in case scripture reference is needed to show how much God detests this behavior here are a few: Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. Proverbs 16:28 A dishonest man spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends. Proverbs 6:16-19 There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, AND ONE WHO SOWS DISCORD AMONG BROTHERS. James 1:26 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this persons religion is worthless. Psalm 34:13 Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. Titus 3:2 To speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. Psalm 101:5 Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy. Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart I will not endure. Matthew 12:36 I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, James 4:11 Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. Proverbs 17:4 An evildoer listens to wicked lips, and a liar gives ear to a mischievous tongue.
