It costs a lot to properly care for a dog or a cat! Cutting corners is not necessarily the way to go, as it is easier to prevent an Illness than to cure an Illness! I never had a problem with paying for quality when it came to the well being of a living creature placed in my care! I always felt that the entire staff at the East Lake Animal Hospital valued the living creatures placed in their care, and that they knew what they were doing with the lives of the animals! I have always felt that the owner of an animal if you will then has a responsibility to insure that the animals in their care are well cared for, properly housed,fed, and that they are living in a pleasant, and comfortable environment that is not hostile! When dealing with a cat or a dog one should remember always that the animal is a living being just like you and I, and that the living being does feel pain, and can suffer emotional, or physical pain just as the human animal suffers physical, and emotional pain! I am in favor of people having to get a permit to adopt a dog or a cat to avoid rift raft from obtaining legal ownership of a dog or a cat!
