It doesnt matter how wide you go on the pull-up bar to get your back wider..youll put more stress on your shoulders and do more harm then good. Simply just do your pull-ups and pause at the top, do a positive and negative(slow up and slow down), superset your pull-ups with dumbbell rows or lat pull downs..dont say you hate pull-ups because you just cant do them. Work your way to a pull-up by using bands or a box to assist you. YOU CAN DO IT!
