It drives me insane when women use the whole you dont know my situation line when it comes to being a struggling single mom. I work in Childcare, and see moms who are on welfare come into the centre talking about how they cant afford to by groceries yet their kids have a lunch box full of burger king.. or that theyre still waiting on subsidy when theyre bragging about being out at the clubs at night. It erks me even more when they talk about drinking, smoking, and going on camping trips when theyre kids are wearing clothes 3 sizes too small for them. Your 3 year old daughter should not have the bottom of her ass hanging out of her shorts cause theyre as old as she is. These moms even tell me these things looking for sympathy.. how many fricken years of your childs life are you going to expect sympathy. Youre choosing to not take any action, and continue living this way. All the irresponsible moms aside... I also meet a few single moms who are doing what they should be doing to get by. They work all day while theyre children are in childcare, and earn a living that pays more than welfare with all that free time theyde have if they were on welfare. They cook, clean, have a life with their children, and know that when they make the choice to have a child it is the biggest responsibility of their life. No cild is an accident. You choose to have the baby, or abort. Unless you cant medically abort without risking your life then it is ALWAYS a choice. Unless your paraplegic, bed ridden, and literally disabled so bad that you cant even do your own grocery shopping then you have no excuse to live this way. You have a child who deserves more than your excuses. Im an honors college grad who is now a teacher, and I grew up with ADHD, OCD, PTSD, mild scoliosis, and a fricken brain injury. None of those are any kind of an excuse to deny my children the mother they deserve me to be. Rant done...
