It ends in praise. As we lift our voices to the Lord in praise, expect unusual increase. Psalm 67: 6 PONDER ON THESE THOUGHTS Praise is a means to an end. It is an integral part of prayer. Praise goes beyond the songs and the rhythms. It introduces the manifested presence of God into any situation. David tells us, that God is enthroned in the praises of His people(see Psalm 22:3) Praise is powerful. God has ordained praise as a means of receiving unusual strength. Psalm 8:1-2 says, out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants you have ordained strength because of your enemies, that you may silence the enemy and the avenger. Jesus quoted this verse of scripture and said, out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants you have perfected praise (Matthew 21:16). God ordained praise to put Satan in check. Furthermore David tells us in Psalm 9: 1-3. I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart I will tell of your marvellous works. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O most high. When my enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at your presence It was a common practice in the Old testament for people to go the priest in their time of need to offer sacrifice to God. The aim was to bring the manifested presence of God into the situation and put the enemy in check. Now as a new covenant Saint in Christ, you are the priest. There is no other type of physical sacrifice that can be offered to God beyond what Jesus has done on the cross. It is the ultimate sacrifice. Nonetheless, the writer of the book of Hebrews tells us as a priest under the new covenant we are to offer to God a sacrifice of praise continually. By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. The enemy cannot stop the word of God. He can only distract and discourage you from standing on the word. After releasing your faith in God maintain your position by praising God. It is a powerful form of pressure that stops the aggression of the devil against any area of your life. As you lift up your voice in praise, be assured of the manifestation of unusual increase. The Psalmist communicates it this way saying, Let the people praise you , O God; Let all the peoples praise you. Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God will richly bless us (see Psalm 67:6)
