It feels good to be recognized: Faisal Khan Fifteen year old Mumbaikar Faisal Khan shot to fame when he won DID Lil Masters 2. A win that catapulted the teenage son of a Mumbai autorickshaw driver to television stardom as the new lead of Bharat Ka Veer Putra - Maharana Pratap. Faisal who was in Ahmedabad for a promotional activity got chatty with AT. Excerpts from an interview: How has life changed for you post DID and Maharana Pratap? Pehle log mujhe jaante nahi the. Now almost everyone recognizes me and appreciates my work. Those who didnt know me as a DID contestant/winner now know me because of Maharana Pratap. It feels so good to get recognized. What were the challenges for you when you took up this costume drama? Badhayein toh avashya aati rehti hain for any role. initially I had to work extremely hard to get the dialect right because shuddh Hindi is way different from how we speak in real life. Besides that, carrying off the heavy costumes with elan is also important. Plus, I also learnt horse-riding, kushti and had to rehearse a lot before enacting the fight-sequences. Im enjoying learning all of this, its helping me grow as a professional.
