It felt sincere to me BUT is she apologizing because the surfacing of the issue publicly has embarrassed her and impacted her financially or because he is JUST NOW figuring out that language and those attitudes are hurtful and the back lash has been so strong? Just curious. Depending on how you look at it, I am either gullible or cynical because I believe both reasons. On another note, I fully expect Paula Deen to rise from these ashes. She will do the obligatory media rounds, maybe the Oprah interview, etc. to salvage her image to detail for us how her Southern roots laid the foundation for her ignorance and bigotry. But make no mistake that there is still a market for her in spite of, and possibly because of, this incident. Look at Dog, the Bounty Hunter. He was ON TAPE throwing around racial slurs about his daughter-in-law. He was dropped long enough for the fervor to die down and then picked back up so that network could still cash in on his show. The same will happen for her. Mark my words she will be back on the Food Network....or maybe Fox. lol Nothing surprises me these days.
