It has been 15 years since I have last hugged my family here in Vietnam. I have laughed, I have cried, I have stepped in shit that belongs to unknown animals. This is a place where brushing shoulders with a stranger doesnt require a Sorry or Excuse me because in retrospect something so little just doesnt even matter. Two grown men can be seen taking a stroll down the street holding hands as friends because the social norms are just different here. And if you wear excessively big jewelry, its a guarantee that someone will make fun of you because that actually is considered hilarious and unnecessary here. At 8:06 AM, strangely, I will say this one last thing for the last time in a long while-- Good morning, Vietnam. You will be sorely missed.
