It has been a ROUGH day today. In a moment of temporary insanity, I grabbed the 400 degree barrel of my curling wand with my left hand. I burnt my palm, ring and pinky finger. Protective glove? Yes. But only for the ring and middle finger. I applied some egg whites but damn did that hurt! I decided to drive my boss Lincoln to work today to get used to it, since Im leaving on Monday for our epic road trip. The whole point of the trip is to drive the car to Palm Springs. Turned the car on (so I thought), could only get it into reverse but couldnt get it out of the garage. Cant make it to Idaho on Monday if I cant get it out of the garage. Its a lot fancier than my car. My boss and I decided I would call the neighbor later for help. So I left for work in my car. And then realized I didnt know where the key to the Lincoln was. And then further realized I didnt think I shut the garage. I was totally in pain mania. And so I turn around and come back and sure enough, the garage door was wide open, Lincoln key on the freezer. Maybe the landscaping guys could figure out how to get the car out. I successfully got the garage closed, put the key away and headed to work. At work I ended up messing up the checks I was printing out. Yet another phone call to my boss to explain the check numbers on the register were all messed up. Finally got that sorted out, and headed home. Came back and called the neighbor for help with the car. He and his wife came over, and we discovered the battery was dead. So the car never really was on today and I get the idiot award. After I called my boss and told her we got the car going, she said are you sure you should drive it? So Im sitting here watching Thursday Night Football and eating Taco Bell, which I drove to successfully after we got the car started and out of the garage. The good news? I did make a multi-million deposit at the bank for the business with no issues. #jennaandtheterriblehorriblenogoodverybadday
