It has been a long time in coming , but Jack is having surgery next Tues. Aug. 20th at UNC. He was scheduled to have his kidney removed at Wake Med ,Cary, since we had not heard from UNC. The doctor call Tues. and said he was ready to do the reconstruction of the left ureter( never gave a good answer of what took so long) and remove the fistula. The UNC doctor told me that after the surgery, Jack would get another infection. He said that always happens after that type of surgery. He has been on antibiotics ( infused) since May 1st, so I am believing that he will NOT get another infection. This is a very serious operation. Please continue to lift Jack, for strength and a quick recovery. Please keep me in your prayers, I am in my 14th week of getting between 4 and 5 hours sleep at night, working 40 hour weeks and looking after Jack. I know that is only by the grace and strength of God that I have been able to keep up this pace. Our prayer is that through this almost year long journey, that God has received all the glory and praise for the blessing we have received. Love to all.
