It has been an interesting few days for the Radical Nomadicals! Since the last update we have: * visited Dubrovnik (where Kings Landing from Game of Thrones is shot) * got a parking ticket in Dubrovnik * come across another Mongol Rally team * went into Montenegro and got a cute ferry across a lake * entered Albania - a country with the most petrol stations we have ever seen * wild camped on a random beach on the Albanian coast and made friends with a man and his son who look after the beach, and then proceeded to get drenched from a massive storm and had evacuate the tent to sleep in the car instead * Helen got hit on by an Albanian police office * exited the Albanian border and went to go into Macedonia but the insurance costs were too high so we had to turn around and go back into Albania again five minutes later. But, Macedonia had super nice immigration officers who gave us Welcome to Macedonia stickers and removed a barrier for us to back out of the line up and turn around. Definitely have to head there one day! * crossed into Greece, had our first Greek meal and then failed in finding any real camping or nice wild camping spots, so spent the night in the Lidl Supermarket car park, with an eye open for police all night. And Helen drove through the capital of Albania (pop 412,000) all by herself! Daria also had an hour of hill start lessons on a dirt road and then drove on a highway that is also a bear habitat area. Alfie update: still squeaking when turns left sometimes after he is warm. Mechanic to be sought in Turkey. But apart from that, he is fine and dandy so far!
