It has been hazy in Singapore since late morning today. Over the past few hours, there was a significant deterioration in the air quality in most Regions of Singapore with the 1-hr concentrations of PM2.5 rising to 100μg/m3 in the Southern Region of Singapore. As at 2 pm today, the 24-hr PSI was 61 - 68, in the Moderate range. The haziness was due to smoke haze from a nearby source in central Sumatra, being blown in by the prevailing southwesterly winds.
