It has been pointed out to me that my post requesting Indians to also focus on other sports can be construed as offensive to Sachin fans and that I owe an apology. Sure, I apologize, Sachin is God after all ! Besides, my post was only intended as a public experiment, a deliberately provocative message to see which of my friends would immediately react emotionally, and which ones would patiently and politely put forth their views on the subject while not resorting to dude you suck Sachin is . Consequently, I have no qualms in admitting that my downplaying the importance of Sachins departure from cricket was in poor taste.
