It has been said that Disney is monitoring this page. I hope that is right. I have sent a couple of emails to guest communications and we visited guest relations when we were there recently. We have not heard anything back from the emails and were just told at Guest Relations that there were lots of other things to enjoy at EPCOT. Here goes: Dear Disney: Let me begin by saying that we have been huge Disney and Walt Disney World in particular fans. We have loved spending time at Walt Disney World and have encouraged friends and family to visit and many have many times. We have sung Disney praises loudly and to anyone who cared to listen. Right about now, I was going to say that it is not about us. That is wrong. It is about us. You have Guest Services, Guest Relations and Guest Communications. You like to call us guests. That sounds so friendly. We are not guests. We are paying customers. We have paid to come to Walt Disney World 39 times since 1983. We have paid to stay at Walt Disney World hotels 29 times since 1993. All but 3 of those stays have been at your deluxe resort hotel category. No stay has been shorter than 9 nights - 1 was 21 days and another was 17 days. Most are 11 or 12 nights. We have paid to belong to Magic Kingdom Club - Gold Card from 1994 until 2000 when it became The Disney Club. We encouraged others to join these clubs and they did. We paid to belong to The Disney Club until it vanished in 2003. We have paid to be Annual Passholders since 2013 and have paid to have Tables in Wonderland since 2013. We have watched many attractions come and go and change over the years and certainly not all changes have been for the better. We still have been huge Disney fans and have kept coming back for more. We have done all of the rides many times and just because we are now seniors have done all of the thrill rides except for Expedition Everest. We have seen all of the many good shows many times. You may wonder what has kept us coming back for more and it was the entertainment and at the very top of that list was Off Kilter. Every Disney fan has seen and heard the clip where Walt explains how he came up with the concept for Disneyland - a place where parents and children could all enjoy their time together. Off Kilter is that. I would say people of all ages could enjoy their time watching them. Anyone who has seen an Off Kilter show has seen the toddlers mesmerized in front of the stage dancing. They have seen the older children dancing and enjoying themselves and the crowd - young and old - singing along, clapping and having a great time. Off Kilter was simply the best entertainment that EPCOT and Walt Disney World had to offer. We have seen and continue to see many shows here - Festival of the Lion King is a great show but it is always the same. We still make sure to catch it each visit. With Off Kilter no 2 shows were alike and they were always great. Off Kilter is a very talented group but they are so much more than that. Over the years of seeing us at many shows they have gotten to know us and wave and speak to us when they take the stage. We have talked to them after shows. When they know that we are leaving to head home to Canada they always ask when we will be back and tell us to have a safe trip home. Walt Disney World could not have better ambassadors or spokesmen for their enterprise. If it is about the bottom line I am sure they have brought in revenue in ways you may not have even imagined. They were a big influence on our decision to start staying at Disneys Yacht Club so that we could get to see them more often and more easily. When we first walked into EPCOT on October 28, 2014 and found Off Kilter not listed on the Tines Schedule we said, Well, we might just as well pack up and head home. That was before we had taken another step. We immediately walked to the Mill Stage thinking that there had to be some mistake. I then headed to the kiosk to ask about Off Kilter and was told that they had left. That sounded like they had quit. We were shocked and disappointed. It was a few days later before we found out that they had been let go. We were even more shocked and disappointed. I would like to point out that for every phone call, every email and every letter you receive there are many more people who are still blissfully unaware that their beloved Off Kilter is no longer at EPCOT. For every phone call, every email and every letter you receive there are many more people who are unaware of where to write or call and many more who will not contact you because they may actually not have the time to contact you. There will be many more who will not contact you because they feel it will do no good. In other words every phone call, every email, every letter and every visit to Guest Relations is merely the tip of the iceburg. Thank you for reading this. I am also sending this message in a letter to each address listed on the right side of this page. That is just one more thing that we are paying to do. Yours truly, Linda Tarcea
