It has been several months, but I posted a couple of times to our blog about the letters Im writing to my someday husband. Last night, I posed the question, If God would allow me to ask you one thing, what would it be? Of course I started thinking, Whats your name? Where are you? What do you look like? Do you want my number? Where are you going to be tomorrow at, say, noon? When are you going to ask me out? Though any of that would have been progress, it all seemed superficial. A fleeting moment. It felt like I would have wasted the opportunity. So I typed out, How can I pray for you? In my letters, I request of God, Whether or not I know this person, if there is a way to encourage him, can I please do that? If I knew how to pray for this man, I could encourage and support him in a way that goes far beyond myself. If I knew how to pray for this man, my conversations about him with our Father would no longer come with a disclaimer. Maybe a giggle instead. Do you pray for the people you love? Do you know what their needs are? What they are struggling with? What they are celebrating? I encourage you to do so.
