It has begun. Two years ago, I was at a Retreat in upper New York State. It was cold & wet, but around a large fire with its smoke tearing up my eyes, I saw three acts of service that I "needed" to do. Plenty has happened and much more is happening as I type; however, I never forgotten what I saw, and you are all looking at my start on one of them. I am proud of both sides of my family tree - the Scottish "Bain" and the Rromani "Huculiak" clans, so I dedicate this page to the Ancestors! As this page grows, it is my hope & desire to orchestrate a yearly Sara e Kali procession on her feast day - the first one being on Saturday May 24th 2014 in Hamilton. Between now and that time, much planning needs to be done; specifically the construction of Her statue/vessel, the route to take, and possibly getting some paperwork to make it legit (to avoid by-law infractions and maybe have a few things paid for by a loving BIA or Councillor :) I would say to wish my Luck, but I ask that we all ask to earn our Luck, instead ;) What do you think? Thank you for your time and I close with this devotional: Te Aves Baxtali, Sara e Kali! Mother & Queen of all the Natsiyi; of your people; whose caravans you protect. I invoke your sublime powers my powerful Santa Sara Kali, to soften my heart & remove the anguish at my feet. Santa Sara, help me open my road and clear the path. Conquer evil & the storms in my life. Gypsy Mother of the Mysteries that were bestowed on the Wandering Nation; giver of music and dance, You that aids in the sight & the gifts of the mysteries of magic, bestow upon me the strength to conquer those who wish to harm me. Holy Saint Sara Kali, dispel the evil souls that may surround me. Holy Queen may the waters of the rivers and the seas not drown me. I humbly evoke your powers, may I not sink into the depths of the sea. Bring before me courage and strength, such as that of your people the Roma. May I earn my Luck with your blessings, and give to Joy to all those who dance, write, sing and play music in your Honour.
