It has come to my attention that many different cultural groups in Australia are still cohesively bonded and refuse to recognise equality outside their own race. The metaphor, To walk in someone elses shoes, has become extinct in the eyes of mindfulness for others beliefs, hence prolonging the progression of Australias true reconciliation. Why cant we be friends? Is a suitable question. Why cant we? There are no laws in the Australian Constitution prohibiting each Australian from working as part of a team. In fact, the Constitution is eagerly working towards providing an equal opportunity for everyone to join the family, to be mates and watch out for each other in times of need. So why be small minded and shut off those around you? Your extended family and friends, your fellow Australians; because when the time comes, youll be hoping theyve joined the team too. The message is simple, remove yourself from the racial cheer squad, and play a team sport.
