It has come to my attention, through various social media and verbal exchanges, with both friends and strangers, that Im not funny. This is disappointing to me because Im supposed to be funny. I come from a funny family and I have a funny face. I like to be dry and sarcastic, but occasionally I like to mix it up with astute observations that are supposed to make you think. If Ive failed, Im sorry. Its important that I come clean to myself and all of you. I really did think I was funny. Of course, not all the time. Nobody is funny all the time. Not even Jack Black. The important thing is that I dont get defensive. Im too mature for that. What am I going to do? Not give up, buster. This aint the first horse Ive fallen off. Im not going to be unfunny without a fight. I plan on screening a lot of funny movies, watching a lot of stand-up comedians (both live and on tape.) Ill work on my timing, physical humour and call backs. Ill also dress funnier. Couldnt hurt. And yes, Ill be going with more blue material. I was always against the blue stuff, but desperate times... Anyhow, give me a week. If you still think Im not funny, Ill figure something out. Its a day by day thing. I can and will do better.
