It has come to our (LAEC Lesotho) knowledge that this disease is not well known in Lesotho yet there are people who are suffering due to this disease. Those who are suffering are getting worried as a result of the following: They do not know what they are suffering from The situation is getting worse day by day. They are loosing their shape or figure due to swelling They encounter a problem when it comes to getting the clothes that could fit them. E.g. Some may have a problem of shoes size that can fit both leg if one foot is swollen and the other is not; some their legs may no longer fit in the normal pair of trousers. Those who are diagnose are not getting the treatment within our country, that is, the people with the know how are not yet identified or not know in the country. The medical supplies are not found in Lesotho. All the above lead to the psychological problems of which sometimes also the counseling is not available.
