It is a conversation I have with many dance studio owners and teachers- the dance world can attract people who are so jealous, spiteful and vindictive. Slandering me is not a new thing (and yes as much as I pretend to stay positive it breaks my heart every time) I have certainly been a victim of the tall poppy syndrome, but now they think they have ammunition. I have consistently urged people with any concern to call Burwood Area local command (02) 9745 8499 to hear what the POLICE say. Several weeks ago my sister in law spoke to the detective in charge about this slander and they said as far as we are concerned you both are the heroes in the case as you brought the information to us which has stopped him This then opened a can of worms and so many new disgusting pieces of news are coming to light. People imply that as there was an incidence in 2007 where there were no charges laid, that I must have known. If only those people would speak to the police and hear what they have to say about this. The police have said that the information we took to them was only the tip of the iceberg This evidence that my sister in law and I first delivered to the police hasnt even been publicly brought to light and it makes me sick that I cant tell people about it. They have informed us that we cant comprehend the enormity of what and who will be exposed. While I am grateful that my sister in law and my sister are not being slandered I cant understand how they justify targeting me only? Does this make sense to you? They say spread the word to Melbourne and America (currently my home town and the country I am touring) and share a document which has nothing to do with me. They add to it lies which are slanderous. I have messages from last year from one woman. She is presently trying to destroy my career. The first message in 2012 asked me to come and hold a seminar at her studio, then around 6 months after the arrest when I started to share my teaching again she told me to stop doing seminars for a while. Interesting. Now she has banded together with the negative group who always have something to say to try and turn people against me (especially when I have some success in my career) The timing of this- while I am on an incredibly amazing tour of the USA, is very revealing. America has been nothing but hospitable and respectful, with many studio owners quietly giving me love and support. This mutual respect of educators doesnt seem to exist in Sydney. Regarding the slander- Everything said is being documented. I have nothing to hide, my Facebook page is always open, my teaching methods are always available for anyone who would like to use them (and a few of the slanderous warpath very much do) and I am always happy to talk and share. Please give love to those around you especially at the moment. Im going to continue to do what I love and feel I was born to do which is teach and inspire through fun and humour.
