It is a critical issue. Any community could create narcissist characteristic. Social media like Facebook is a useful forum for maintaining friendship. Facebook is like a giant website that someone can share memories, thoughts, knowledge, statues, problem and ideas. Students from all over the world use Facebook for those reasons. Many students overseas from different countries different background studying in countries that they have no idea how the social system in these countries works, so they choose Facebook to feel little bit self-esteem by staying on touch with their peers back home. Students from Saudi Arabia for example, sharing their experiences from America and far Asia with their friends back home and share the cultures differences. That is all and more is done by the wonderful Facebook. I personally use Facebook to read the news, check out new music release, read the new article in New York Times and other news resources, and check with my friends in the global. In my opinion the most narcissistic social media is Instgram.
