It is a fact that the present state of things is grim. There is no need for metaphoric cleverness to explain our dilemma. There is no more time for such tricks. The world will be altered in our generation, and we will have to face this violent truth. Many are too frightened to prepare because they have been trained to fear even the mildest of tragedies. They are still living in a mode of behavior that is occupied by meaningless action. The only survivors of the future will be those who can surpass their entire identity and locate the primal vitality to remain alive. This vitality is a merger between ingenuity and awareness - our souls must be purified. For the last ten generations our lives have been an excuse. Nature is nearly finished with the game of mankind. We must release our hold on the world we know and reach towards the scattered remnants of existence. Life must be contemplated from a universal perspective. We have to honestly decide what creatures deserve to inherit the earth. It may be that mostly birds and fish will assume that role. The perpetuation of life is not necessarily going to be directly associated with humanity.
