It is a huge thrill to report that POLLYANNA, the only remaining July Fabulous Featured Feline, and a very special girl, was adopted this afternoon. Her picture as the Sunday Mail Tribune Pet-of-the-Week was seen today by a retired teacher whose similar looking kitty had recently passed away. She and her daughter arrived at the shelter to meet our pretty Pollyanna who reminded her so much of her other kitty that there were a few teary moments. Weve all been there, havent we? Pollyanna had to wait a long time to find her fur-ever person, but it appears to have been worth the wait. A couple who had been looking for a new cat, but had not yet been to the shelter, also saw Pollyannas picture in the paper and decided to stop by and see what kitties were waiting for homes. We knew it wasnt going to take long for someone to fall in love with SILVER (who just happens to have a heart of pure gold). This beautiful silver tabby is silky, smart and ever-so-sweet, and the couple was charmed. Silver, after being spayed tomorrow, will be going to her new home, situated on over four acres, with her mighty pleased new mom and dad.
