It is almost 2:30 am and I cant seem to want to lay my bible down and go to sleep. I have been studying the first 4 chapters of revelations and decided tonight to take a break and read Genesis 24 and while reading it, I couldnt help but to get excited! While talking to a very dear friend not long ago, she shared with me what she had been teaching some of her young Christians and she said she told them that to know God is to know his word.. And so many times you get different excuses as to why people dont read their bibles but she proceeded to say that she explained to them, everything you could ever want to read is all written in one book.. Any and every genre.. Murder, betrayal, uplifting, encouraging, happy endings, sad endings, but most importantly.. It is the greatest love story you will ever read! Not just the love Jesus showed us by dying for us, not just the love God had by giving his only son.. But it is a story of a groom who loved his bride so much that he provided everything she needs to know to prepare herself to one day leap up to meet her Groom, to sit with him at the marriage supper! Thats the best love story you will ever read, ever know, and ever have the opportunity to live.. To be a part of. Thats what my heart longs for more and more each day! I want to be a part of that bride, in that beautiful love story, that He has gone away to prepare a place for and is very soon returning for the marriage of all marriages! God is so good!!
