It is always a well-documented affair when a player makes that famous move from one Soweto giant to another. Modern day supporters and followers of both these clubs have become less fanatical and extreme in the method they display their appreciation for their respective clubs. In the old days any form of interaction with the rival was a corporal crime. This was also the case with players. There was absolutely no way a player from either one of these clubs could go play for the other. In recent times however that has changed with supporters become more understanding and accommodating when players make that move. The most recent of these “crossing the floor” events occurred last month when Lehlohonolo Majoro switched allegiance moving from Amakhosi to the Buccaneers, though the manner in which this move occurred made it more infamous than famous. Majoro sulked for ages on the bench even with reports of the striker refusing to play. This resulted in allegations being thrown around and Majoro claiming that Chiefs didn’t pay him his wages. On whichever side of the fence you sit, one thing is clear - Major’s move to Pirates will definitely be remembered for the all the wrong reasons
