It is apparent to me that the MH370 pilots had forgotten how to manage the elaborate controls in the cockpit. Realizing that the auto-pilot destination was wrong, they switched off the communications to avoid detection by Malaysian Airlines and possible dismissal, hoping to correct the fault secretly. Unfortunately, they set the wrong coordinates and flew toward the Indian ocean instead. They were also unable to restore their communications online as it is a very complicated procedure which they had forgotten after years of over-reliance on auto-pilot. Realizing that their fuel levels would not be sufficient over the vast Indian Ocean, the pilots frantically sent distress signals to the US satellites for 5 hours after losing communications with Malaysia Airport. Unfortunately their fuel ran out and the plane crashed deep into the Indian Ocean.
