It is as though it happened just yesterday. It was sudden. It was unexpected. It was untimely and what a big blow it was. The manner of your death 16 years on is an emotionally painful experience. Your brutal murder that night in 1998 has never left our minds and it is still fresh. We have not known the reasons for your murder and we could not trust the justice system for justice was denied to us as a family. This past weekend sad memories were aplenty as I passed as fate would have it - the scene of your murder - it reminded me of that journey from Soroti to Kumi as I travelled for your burial. We became a laughing stock. Many wrote us off, many thought we would never make it in life. But in the Lord God Almighty, we found a friend - a father to the fatherless. Even when things became really really tough God proved himself. We left revenge to the Lord, we forgave the murderers and we got Peace that surpasses human understanding- a God given peace. God gave strength to mummy and she has shouldered the burden. Relatives were and have been of great help. Special mention to #PapaAkellem and the entire family. It has been 16 years of a testimony of Gods faithfulness. I will cling to this God who raised our family to what it is now. To God be the glory. Rest in Peace Dad.
