It is encouraging to me to see high-risk patients being placed on isolation immediately. That is totally appropriate. If the patient in Dallas had been immediately placed on isolation during his FIRST ER visit, his number of possible contacts could have been drastically reduced. It is also encouraging to me to see they are now willing to publish where the potential cases are occurring. Some weeks ago, the CDC had said they would not publish potential case locations. That bothered me very much. I hope this is a sign that the CDC is improving in its communication abilities under this regime.
