It is extremely difficult to cope with Lyme after it is diagnosed - TopicsExpress

It is extremely difficult to cope with Lyme after it is diagnosed and you start a road to recovery that is torturous. You get far worse than you can imagine, and you must keep fighting for your life for years......before you start getting any better. It is impossible to cope when doctors keep telling you they cant find anything wrong when you can feel your body slowly dying! It is infuriating when doctors deny chronic Lyme disease is debilitating and swear it does not exists in MISSOURI (insert your state here.) It is heartbreaking when friends and family dont understand the exhausting toll this disease takes on your body, brain, budget, relationships, and your very spirit. It is devastating when spiritual people act like the friends of Job and assume you are sick because of sin in your life. It is cruel when people avoid you because they dont want to be brought down by hearing how you really feel when they ask how are you? It is unbearable when you are forsaken by people that said they care, and abandoned by those who have become numb and indifferent to your suffering. Most so called friends move on, forget us, pretend we dont exist.... so we dont weigh them down or inconvenience their little fairy tale lives. THESE ARE THE COLD, HARD FACTS THAT LYME FIGHTERS FACE IN ADDITION TO ENDLESS PAIN, SEIZURES, ORGAN FAILURE, PARALYSIS, PALSIES, NEUROLOGICAL DAMAGE, WEAKNESS, VOMITING, DIGESTIVE DISTRESS, INSOMNIA, EXHAUSTION, DEBILITATION, CONFUSION, TO NAME ONLY A FEW! No one should endure that alone or be judged by onlookers that are clueless. I AM BLESSED TO HAVE A FAMILY THAT IS ENDLESSLY COMPASSIONATE AND PATIENT! I Constantly Thank My Lord for them, and his sustaining power!! At least 9 of us have Lyme. The others are our armor bearers. We are Always here for one another, because of our love and grace. We take care of one another, because we want to, because we must AND..... Because no one else will. To all the people that dont understand Lyme, are pessimistic, are indifferent, or think this disease is blown out if proportion..... PLEASE READ THIS AND OPEN YOUR HEART TO THOSE IN YOUR CIRCLE THAT ARE SUFFERING IN QUIET LONELINESS, OR DESPERATELY CRYING OUT FOR HOPE!
