It is generally contended that Zimbabwe can be a transportation hub for the region because of its centrality, and over the past couple of years the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Infrastructural Development under the leadership of ZANU PF failed to rehabilitate the roads and this resulted in the roads of our beloved motherland becoming death traps. With formation of the Inclusive government, this has seen the rehabilitation of the The Plumtree-Harare-Mutare highway and it is gradually becoming a world-class road. This is due the efforts of the MDC. Once the MDC is voted into office, it will introduce the National Roadwork Development and Maintenance Plan that will rehabilitate existing paved roads and expand the paved network in to more rural areas as part of its Developmental plan Vote MDC, vote for change
