It is half past two in the middle of the night when you suddenly - TopicsExpress

It is half past two in the middle of the night when you suddenly wake up ... You are a tad tired because of the flight you had last night from Quetta to Lahore ... The weather in Lahore is not as pleasant as it was in Quetta ... Although, the ceiling fan is rotating at its maximum speed, you still feel your sweaty T-shirt and its characteristic odour ... You are too thirsty to think about any thing other than water ... Maybe it has been too hot in the room, maybe the thirst is due to the fatigue, why is the AC not turned on had it been that hot, It is definitely the fatigue: you reason with yourself ... You face no difficulty finding the refrigerator but the distance seems shorter than your normal (past 2 months) commute to fetch water, and it also doesnt involve climbing 4 steps ... You prefer quenching your thirst over paying heed to these badly timed realizations ... You place the bottle inside the fridge and close its door ... As soon as the light - glowing from inside the refrigerator - fades, something hits you ... It hits you so hard that it literally feels like getting the wind knocked out of you! .. You can now feel your eyes filling up ... It is not because of physical pain, rather, it is nothing like a physical pain ... Had it been a physical encounter, your neurons would have reacted long before your mind could even register the impact ... You, without any further delay, make your way to the bedroom and sleep face down, withholding your tears lest you betray your manliness! .. You had never thought that the realization of being away from your parents (your mentors) would hit you this hard !!! Moral of the story: I am a sissy and I almost cried when I realized that not my Mother or my Zan Kakai or Ammai Kalan are in the same city as I am P.s. This has happened to me first time in 22 years ! P.s.s. Ma Dilim Khatoo Natalbista, so let me cut this topic for you here !
