It is hard to describe the week so far. It truly is an experience that we will remember for years to come. Yesterday was more cooking with Carla at the villa (pictures includes)....a pic of our menu is also included...... Homemade noodles, beef, the list goes on and on. And, of course a little wine during the class & following. In the evening Linda was our host to her home city of Viterbo - home of Europes best-preserved medieval quarter and the ancient Vatican. Today (Wed) we left early for a trip through the Val DOrcian valley in Tuscay, and over to the St Antimo Abbey to witness the monks as they perform their Gregorian Chant. Lunch was at a small family winery - La Piombaia where they make a Brunello wine completely by hand. And we ended the day with a visit and tasting in the ancient Cantina del Redi Wine Cellar in the beautiful city of Montepulciano. Tomorrow - back to the villa to make cheese, lemoncello..etc. Outside of these activities, we have met many new friends including Cary & Kevin who have a place in Phoenix not far from ours, and Lori & Elaine from Edmonton. Good times....good friends....great food...beautiful hosts....fabulous scenery .....life is good
